WCSDS Commercial Sheep Producer Outreach      

Good relations with commercial sheep producers is central to our mission      

While our mission covers the use of herding dogs in all livestock enterprises we have a particular focus on supporting large scale sheep operations in their use of herding dogs.          

Development of services for the sheep producers is in the early stages but we do have ome program we have initiated aimed directly at supporting them. 

This program involves provideing partial reimbursement for lessons taken by their employees to better understand and train the dogs they use in their jobs.  WCSDS will refund $10 per lesson for up to 10 lessons that any employee of a commercial sheep operation in Oregon takes with one of our approved instructors.  

The employee in question simple submits a form signed by the instructor and their emplyoyer listing the dates of the lessons and WCSDS will send them a check to patially reimburse the cost.
