The dates for this year's competition are May 15–17, 2026. The event will be held for the 14th consecutive year at Wolston Farm, one mile east of Scio. If you are not familiar with the trial location, please look at our directions page and be sure to check the parking status.
The 2024 event was featured on an episode of Andy's Adventures on Fox 12's Good Day Oregon — watch the video and the "making of" video.

This year we will again have a beer tent selling two special beers brewed for us by Santiam Brewing in Salem. The first is called Merlin's Olde Ale, and beer glasses featuring the logo will also be available. The second is called Red Hawk, an Irish red ale featuring a picture of a red Border Collie named Hawk who will be competing at this year's event. Proceeds from the sale of the beer and glasses help fund the activities of Whistle & Crook Stock Dog Services. Learn more about Merlin's Olde Ale.
